How to Reach Patmos Island

By boat

You can reach Patmos from Piraeus and other neighbour islands. There is a boat every day from the port of Athens-Piraeus, at gate E1 where all Dodecanesian boats depart.
The trip lasts about 7 hours with Blue star Ferries and a little bit longer if you choose ANEK or Agoudimos lines.
Monthly Schedule is available only for the peak season of July and August. Schedules may vary ,so make a call to coast guard or your local travel agency in order to confirm your route.
There is a vocal system at the telephone number (+30)14944 ( prees #5 and after that #1 ) for every ship and any island destination of the current day and the day after. You can have information about any
other means of transportation too.

From Piraeus *

Route : Monday to Thursday and Saturday.

From Rhodes *

Catamaran

There is also a Catamaran "DODEKANISOS SEAWAYS" which connects Patmos with the ports of Leipsoi, Leros, Kos, Rhodes. You can choose among slow vessels and high speed flying dolphins. If the wind is stronger than 6-7 Beaufort, the high speed flying dolphins cannot depart. Flying Dolphins schedule is available for July-September.

By plane

The fastest and probably the most convenient way to travel is by plane. You can reach the Island of Samos, Kos or Leros and shorten significantly the trip by sea!

Helicopter

Patmos Island is equipped with a helipad, so you can reach island in private with your helicopter.

By Yacht

Private Yachts can anchor at the harbor of Skala. There you can get supplies, drinking water, fuel and everything else you may need.
